Join us for a nurturing weekend retreat at Monkton Wyld Court, nestled in the stunning Jurassic coast.
During the weekend you will enjoy relaxing yoga posture and mindful meditation led by Rosalind, who initially trained with the British Wheel of Yoga in 1997 and has been practising yoga for 20 years. She does not follow any strict method or school of yoga, but encourages mindfulness with focus on flowing sequences and co-ordination of the breath with movement. All with an overview of promoting a deeper understanding of the self.
You will also receive a personalised Shiatsu treatment from Elaine, who has been practising since 2003 and trained at the Bristol School of Shiatsu under Keith Phillips. IIHT, dip Shiatsu, MRSS. Shiatsu is a holistic therapy from Japan and uses touch as a diagnostic tool. Techniques such as, holding, pressure points stretches and rotations are used to move the bodies energy ‘ki’ to restore balance and harmony.
It can be a deeply relaxing experience and very energising.
Rooms which are twins are set in this charming Grade II listed mansion built last century. It is a good example of Victorian neo-Gothic architecture.
The dining room and Library both boast wonderful views of the surrounding lawns, small wood and Victorian walled vegetable garden.
Most of the delicious vegetarian food served at Monkton Wyld is organically grown and sourced from their own farm and garden. Special diets can be catered for.
